2018:
Sanchez appeared in 25 games including 19 starts during her senior season in 2018 where she went 8 for 47 from the plate driving in four runs. She was also reliable in the field with 23 putouts, seven assists and one error for a .968 fielding percentage. 

2017:
Sanchez had an outstanding junior campaign making 51 starts for the Dustdevils in 2017 where she hit .246 with five doubles a triple while driving in 19 runs for a slugging percentage of .296. She recorded two or more hits in seven games including a 4-for-5 performance with four runs batted in against Oklahoma Panhandle State on April 21. The Brownsville, Texas native was equally impressive in the field with 45 putouts and 81 assists with only nine errors for a fielding percentage of .933.

2016:
Made 26 starts for the Dustdevils hitting .246 with five doubles, one triple and one home run driving in 12 runs. Stole two bases on three attempts.

2015: Texas Lutheran University
Sanchez started her collegiate career at Texas Lutheran University in Sequin, Texas. 

High School: Brownsville Porter High School (Class of 2014)
As a Catcher Erika lettered in softball for (4) years. She was the District 32-5A MVP, Second Team All-Valley Catcher, All-Metro Defensive Player of the Year, She was also the Offensive Player of the Year twice. in addition to softball Sanchez lettered in volleyball for (4) years.

Personal:
Erika is the daughter of Ana and Mike Sanchez. She is a sister to Mike, Ashlee, and Kimberly. Kimberly and Erika will compete on the field together as Dustdevils. Erika chose TAMIU becuase the campus is beautiful and she always wanted to be a Dustdevil. Her role model is her Grandma. After TAMIU Erika wants to be an Athletic Trainer. In her free time Erika likes to go fishing.
