2018: 
Edmiston had a breakout season in 2018 making 52 appearances and 45 starts where she hit .241 with eight doubles, one triple and three home runs to drive in 21 runs for a slugging percentage of .421. The Long Beach, Calif. product also scored 21 runs with nine walks and eight stolen bases. Had two or more hits In five games including a 2 for 3 performance against Lubbock Christian in the Heartland Conference Championships. She also drove in a career-high three runs in the same game where the Dustdevils eliminated the Lady Chaps.

2017:
Edmiston made 42 appearances including 34 starts in the outfield as a junior where the Long Beach, Calif. native hit .149 with two doubles while driving in one run for a slugging percentage of .176 while tallying 13 walks for an on base percentage of .284. The junior also was impressive out in the field as she had 56 putouts, three assists and zero errors for a fielding percentage of 1.000. She recorded her first multi-hit game of the season against Texas A&M-Kingsville going 2-for-3 from the dish with a double.

Edmiston played (2) years for the Wranglers where she earned Defensive Player of the Year. She also earned her Associates Degree during her time in Odessa.

High School: Lakewood High School (Class of 2014)
Edmiston played (4) years of softball for the Lancers as an outfielder.

Personal: Samantha Edmiston is the daughter of Mary and Neal Edmiston and is joined by her (2) siblings, Lauren and Parker. Edmiston decided to attend TAMIU becuase she taught it was best fit in both academics and athletics. Her most inspirational figure is her father Neal. Her future aspirations is to play softball and earn her Bachelors Degree. Her favorite athlete is Mike Trout, the center fielder for the Los Angeles Angels. In her spare time, Edmiston enjoys working out, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
