Box Score Silver City, NM- The Texas A&M International Softball team took to Silver City to take on the Mustangs in a doubleheader. The Dustdevils entered the game 7-6 overall while the Mustangs entered the evening 3-9.

Game One
The Dustdevils had no answer for the Mustangs. After seven innings, the Mustangs scored five runs while TAMIU could not put any runs on the board. However, TAMIU was able to accumulate eight hits during the game but could not bring anyone home. There was a total of six runners left on base after seven innings.
Kylie Goad pitched the first game in which she faced 28 batters and recorded three strikeouts.

Game Two
The Dustdevils found their groove in game two as it was a different story entirely. The Dustdevils were able to score first at the top of the 2
nd when
Victoria Espinoza homered to deep center field to get the Dustdevils going. The Mustangs would answer with a run of their own in the bottom of the third. However, TAMIU would not be stopped as they put three runs on the board in the top of the 4
th. Espinoza would single to get on first base.
Damaris Saldivar would double into centerfield which allowed Espinoza to advance to third.
Isabella Perez would then single into the left field which would drive home Espinoza.
Katelyn Luera would then be walked to first base.
Queenandra Dunn would then drive home Saldivar after a fielder's choice.
Alana Garcia would then double on a fielder's choice which brough home Loyola. TAMIU recorded three runs, two hits and three left on base that inning. The Mustangs would answer back with a solo run in the bottom of the fourth. TAMIU would score another run as Espinoza homered again in the top of the 5
th. The Mustangs would not give up as they brought home two runs of their own in the bottom of the 5
th and one in the bottom of the 7
th to tie the game. TAMIU scored two runs in the top of the 8
th to bring home the victory.
Kristin Maldonado would single, which would bring home Espinoza and
Alexia Hernandez. The Dustdevils would record 11 hits on the game and seven RBI's.
Nevaeh Herrera and
Zakayia Fredrick would take the circle for the Dustdevils. Fredrick would take the win, facing 26 batters and recording five strikeouts.

The Dustdevils will be back in action at home against Texas Permian Basin at 12:15 PM and 2:45 PM CDT on Friday.
