Senior Margret Nyamukondiwa Recieves LSC 2026 All Conference Second Team

ROCKWALL, TEXAS – Senior Margret Nyamukondiwa was selected for the 2026 Lone Star All Conference Second Team after her impressive season.  

The Senior from Harare, Zimbabwe has been selected for the All Conference Second Team after an impressive season with two top five individual finishes and LSC Golfer of the week honors.  

To end the month of march Nyamukondiwa won the Southern Colorado Open with nine birdies over two rounds finishing one under par to lead the conference in Pueblo, Colorado.  This was not the first time Nyamukondiwa led the Dustdevils to a top five individual finish.  

In the Jack Brown Memorial Invitational, Nyamukondiwa led the team to a second-place team finish. She recorded a fourth-place finish going five over par collecting four birdies in two rounds of play.  

Margret previously attended Western Texas Junior College in Snyder, Texas. During her time at Western Texas Junior College, Margret won three junior college tournaments, placing top 10 in eight out of 10 tournaments. 

Head Coach Rodolfo Gonzalez has enjoyed coaching Nyamukondiwa to success at TAMIU. 

"Margret is an amazing person and has been our leader. A pleasure to coach. She quietly adapts to anything, works hard, and is dedicated to the University and program." 

Margret Nyamukondiwa will participate with her team in the 2026 Lone Star Conference Championship Monday in Rockwall, Texas.
