2017:
Appeared in seven matches including two starts logging 280 minutes as a junior. He scored his lone goal of the season against #4 Midwestern State on Sept. 28. Recorded a career-high two shots in his first appearance against #23 St. Edward’s on Sept. 14. Played a career-high 79 minutes against MSU. 

2016:
Redshirt.

Transfer: Santa Rosa Junior College
Carlino played (3) seasons for the Bear Cubs as he was named Team Captain as well as earning First Team All-Conference.

High School: Windsor High School (Class of 2013)
Carlino played (2) seasons for the Jaguars as a Midfielder and was named Team MVP.
 
Club Soccer: Atletico Santa Rosa
During his time with Atletico, he was part of the Sectional Championship Team.

Personal: Carlino is son of Maria Carrasco and Alfonso Carlino and is joined by his lone sister Daisy Carlino. He decided to come to TAMIU because he truly believes that he could improve not only as a player but as a person under the guidance and leadership of Coach Arias. His most inspirational figure is his father Alfonso Carlino becuase he has always been there for Jovani as well as supported every decision he's made and says he is the man he is today becuase of his father. His future aspiration and goal is to become a professional soccer player. Carlino's favorite player is Leonel Messi who currently plays for FC Barcelona as well as the Argentinian National Soccer Team. In his spare time, Carlino enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends and family, as well as playing soccer.
