Biography

2017:
Parmin finished her storied four-year career at TAMIU as the all-time leader in at-bats (674) and stolen bases (31) while ranking second all-time in hits (205), runs batted in (122) and doubles (49). During the 2017 season the San Antonio, Texas native made 50 starts at shortstop where she hit a team-high .304 with six doubles, three home runs while driving in 17 runs for a slugging percentage of .405. She also walked 21 times with eight stolen bases for an on-base percentage of .964. She recorded two or more hits in 13 games including three games with three hits. The senior drove in a season-high three runs in wins against Adams State (Feb. 10) and Rogers State (April 1). She was reliable in the field with 90 putouts and 72 assists while making only make six errors for a .964 fielding percentage.

2016:
Parnin led the Dustdevils with a .316 average. She started all 59 games, picking up 60 hits. Parnin led the team in Homeruns (9) and RBI (35). Parnin was nominated to the Heartland Conference All-Tournament team and All-Heartland Conference Second Team.

2015:
As a Sophomore Parnin started 50 games and led the team in stolen bases with (9). Brenda had 28 RBI and hit (7) Home Runs.

2014:
As a Freshman Parnin appeared in 56 games. She had a Batting Average of .324 while hitting (6) Home Runs. Brenda led the team in doubles with 15, and in RBI with 42. Parnin earned First Team All-Heartland Conference honors.

High School: Louis D. Brandeis High School(Class of 2013)
As a Shortstop Brenda lettered in softball for (4) years.

Personal:
Brenda is the daughter of Lisa and Mark Parnin. She has a twin sister Anna Parnin who also plays Dustdevil Softball. Brenda's favorite actor is Gerard Butler. Her favorite movie is The Ugly Truth. Parnin's favorite vacation spot is Hawaii. Her favorite quote is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. Parnin chose TAMIU because of the beautiful campus. After TAMIU she wants to have a high paying job. In her free time Brenda enjoys watching Netflix.
