2018:
Espinoza appeared in 45 games including 43 starts as a sophomore in 2018 where he hit .236 with five doubles and two triples while driving in seven runs for a .293 slugging percentage. He scored 20 runs which ranked second on the team while going 7 for 8 in stolen base attempts. Recorded a 10-game hit streak during the season which included four multi-hit games. Recorded 115 putouts, three assists and three errors for a fielding percentage of .975. 

High School:
Espinoza played baseball, basketball, and football at Hidalgo Early College High School, Mission TX. He was awarded 1st Team Academic All-State, 2nd Team All State Outfield, 2016 Offensive Player of the Year.

Personal: Espinoza is the son to Flor and Cesar. He is the brother to Victoria. He chose TAMIU because TAMIU is close to home and being able to play at the college level has always been a dream of his. Also, the chance at competing against a tough conference. His inspirational figure is Jose Altuve. Post TAMIU, he plans to transfer after graduating with his bachelors and earn a PhD in Physical Therapy. On his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
