2017:
Kornegay appeared in 14 games as a sophomore for the Dustdevils where the Missouri City, Texas native hit .250 scoring one run. She also had three putouts as an outfielder.

Transfer: Independence Community College
Kornegay played softball for (2) years for the the community college. During her time there, she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference, was part of Phi Theta Kappa, and earned the Academic Student-Athlete Award.

High School: Fort Bend Christian Academy
Kornegay played softball as a center fielder, ran cross country, and was part of the swimming team during her time at the acedemy. She earned All-District and All-District honors, was a Scholar Athlete, Team Captain, and was a State Champion.

Club Softball: Texas Venom
Kornegay played for (5) years under the Texas Venom as a center fielder where she was named Team Captain.

Personal: Morgan Kornegay is the daughter of Kimberly and Dean Kornegay and is joined by her lone brother Kennedy. Kornegay chose TAMIU becuase she is able to chase of her dream of become a nurse and playing softball and because she gets to be apart of the Texas A&M System, her parents alma mater. Her most inspirational figure is Tim Timmons, an American musician who sings Christian music. Her aspiration is to graduate with a nursing degree from TAMIU and to attend a Physicians Assistant Program. Kornegay's favorite athlete is Sasha DiGiulian, and American rock climber. In her spare time, Kornegay enjoys fishing, rock climbing, exercising, and drawing.
