2016:
Gamas will compete as a Senior for the Dustdevils.

2015:
Gamas competed in her first season as a Dustdevil. At the SWTJC Invitational she finished in 6th place. Damaris also finished in the Top 75 runners at the Rice Invitational. 

2012-2014: Laredo Community College
Before coming to TAMIU, Gamas attended Laredo Community College in Laredo, Texas. During her time at LCC she earned an Associates Degree in Science.

Club Sports: Soccer
Gamas played for the Laredo Fire Women's Soccer team for (2) years. She also played for Deportivo Emily for (3) years.

High School: Martin High School (Class of 2012)
Gamas was a (4) sport athlete at Martin. She lettered for (4) years in volleyball, cross country, soccer, and basketball. In her Sophomore and Junior seasons she was the Team Captain for soccer. In her Senior season she was named Second Team All-District for soccer.
 
Personal: 
Damaris is the daughter of Luz and Daniel. She has one sibling, Landon. Gamas chose TAMIU for the nursing program. Her oles models are Alex Morgan and Allyson Felix. After TAMIU Damaris wants to become a Neonatal Nurse. In her spare time Damaris enjos spending time with loved ones, go to the gym, and go running.
