Before joining TAMIU, Jacob Angell played a season for the Spartans of Creston,Iowa under head coach Chris Piperno. Angell made first team all conference in the ICCAC with a batting average of .349 , On-Base Percentage.437 ,and slugging at .500. Angell's first ever college hit was a home run for the Spartans. 

High school:
Jacob Angell played both hockey and baseball for the Cité des Junes Citadins in Vaudreuil, Quebec. Angell graduated in 2023.
