St. Mary's 2, TAMIU 1
The Dustdevils took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on Brandi Giles single down the left field line to plate Alyssa Acuna. It all started when Acuna reached base on a fielding error before moving into scoring position on a sac bunt by Alyssa Soneff. Giles took advantage of the runner in scoring position driving in her 12th run of the season. StMU responded in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run home run from Alessandra Ortiz.

After the home run, Sara Caterson retired 10 of the next 11 batters before getting herself into some trouble in the bottom of the sixth. After a single and walk with one out, Melanie Lint came and recorded two straight outs to keep the Dustdevils within one run.

Caterson (2-5) went 5.1 innings allowing two runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while tying a season-high with three strikeouts. Lint pitched 0.2 innings in relief retiring both the batters she faced.

St. Mary's 5, TAMIU 3
Cassie Cannon led the game off with a single up the middle before moving over to second on a sac bunt by Melanie Gamboa. Maddison Schofield's single to right field brought Cannon across the pate giving the Dustdevils a 1-0 lead after the top of the first. The Rattlers responded in the bottom half of the inning to take a 2-1 lead on Brenda Iparraguirre's two-run double to right center.

The Dustdevils would get one back in the top of the third after Cannon registered her first multi hit game since March 1 with her second single of the game. She would reach third before coming around to score on Maya Paul's single up the middle with two outs. StMU made it 5-2 in the bottom half of the inning on a two out single by Marcela Vasquez.

Giles drew a nine pitch walk with two outs in the top of the fourth before being replaced by pinch runner Sarah Sandoval. Following a wild pitch, Sandoval came around to score making it 5-3 on Robi Kami's single down the left field line. The Dustdevils best chance to plate more runs came in the top of the sixth but were unable to capitalize after putting two runners on with one out.

Delainy Thompson (5-10) gave up five runs (five earned) on eight hits and three walks with one strikeout in her program record 85th career start.
